NONPROFIT STRATEGY & ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Fresh eyes. Clear priorities. Visible outcomes.

Motivo Advisory helps small- to mid-sized nonprofits and foundations nationwide do more with what they have — the strategy to prioritize what matters most, and the systems to prove it’s working.

WHO SHE IS

Built for organizations doing more than their capacity can easily hold

Karen D’Agostino built the Music Resource Center – Cincinnati from an idea into a thriving nonprofit — the surveys, the pilot programs, the studio, the staff, the board, the systems that kept it all running. She later led development at Cincinnati ToolBank and The Felix Organization before launching her consulting practice, where she now helps nonprofit organizations strengthen their fundraising, systems, and operations.

She’s been called a “Swiss Army knife” by the organizations she’s worked with: equally comfortable stepping into an interim leadership role, untangling a messy spreadsheet, or setting the strategic direction for a board.

HOW SHE HELPS

Wherever you are, what’s next?

Brand new, a few years in, or a decade old — most engagements start with the same question. Motivo looks at where you actually are, what you already have in resources and data, and builds a clear path forward from there.

Data & Impact

Turning scattered information into a clear, provable story of impact for funders, boards, and staff.

Fundraising Strategy

Hands-on support with events and annual or one-time campaigns, but infrastructure that grows year over year.

Program Design

Programs that are easy to run and easy to measure, so outcomes can be added as the organization grows.

Board & Staff Development

Boards and staff working effectively together, with the practical tools to work smarter — including stepping in during leadership transitions.

Startup & Early-Stage

The practical work of standing something up from nothing — which Karen has done herself, without a network or a playbook.

Interim & Extra Capacity

Stepping in when a role is vacant, a leader is on leave, or a team needs another experienced pair of hands.
